DSB moving to new server!

Hello DSBers!

We are moving to new server probably on 30th or 31st of July. Our new server is considerably better and a well deserved update from our current server that has been serving us for the past 20 years. Yes, our current server is 20 years old already!

Our new server runs on Linux and uses ASSS. Our current server runs on Windows and uses old subgame. New platform enables easier development and more flexible solutions for any development happening. We might see different kind of a pub game in future and so forth, hard to say yet how much progress we will have.

The new server is in Newark, New Jersey. It has been up for two months already and it does provide better ping even for Europeans than the current server does.

These are most likely the last days on our old server. Once we switch, these forums as they are today will be gone. Website will be gone too. We are making an effort to make a new website and possibly some kind of a forum. However, our main channels for players to interact with us, are Discord and Facebook, where we have a lot of you that played DSB or are willing to still participate in our gaming days.

There will be an effort to get more of you to join us in near future. We will be doing a mass email to old emails that we have from dsb forums, dsb league website and places such as. This list contains around 1500 emails. We are also using other methods to reach out to old players for help or for joining us for some gaming.

I am expecting to keep the new server running at least next 10 years, starting from this year. I own the new server and pay for it monthly. We could arrange a league in DSB for old times sake within the near future.

Here's for the next 10 years of DSB! Lets have fun in one of the oldest still running online games on earth. It's never too late to come back, we are still here and we have some active players that play at least once a week. Come play with us!
